"We have been lucky enough to have Aisha visit us twice - first to open our new library in 2020 and more recently to work with our Y4/5/6 pupils. She spoke to them about her book, and how she creates her stories. This sparked their imagination to create their own storylines, and they came up with some fantastic ideas! Aisha was wonderful with the children, knowing how to engage with them, and has definitely inspired some future authors within our midst! A huge thank you to Aisha for such a fabulous morning."

"As part of our World Book Day Week, Harris Academy Wimbledon had the pleasure of having Aisha Bushby visiting. She read from her novel A Pocketful of Stars and delivered a presentation, which involved playing an interactive game with our Y7 and Y8 students. This was followed by a discussion comparing stories in books and the narratives of video games. The students really enjoyed playing the game, and the experience teased out an abundance of magic and imagination. I don’t know anything about gaming, but our students connected instantly. Aisha’s presentation greatly resonates with this age group, including reluctant readers. The TA supporting our SEN students was genuinely amazed by how engaged her students were. I have had students coming to the library to tell me how much they enjoyed the event and asking to borrow her book."
